The Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN) is a premier research-impact platform comprising over 200 researchers and policymakers with national focal points across 36 African countries. Job Summary:

ARIN is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to lead its gender and development programs. The role focuses on advancing research and promoting gender equity and social inclusion in sustainable development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct research on gender dynamics in health, climate resilience, agriculture, and other development areas.
2. Analyze intersections of gender with other social categories to inform equitable policy design.
3. Evaluate the gendered impacts of programs and recommend inclusive strategies.
4. Design and implement projects that promote gender equity.
5. Develop resources, write grant proposals, and secure funding for gender-focused initiatives.
6. Publish high-quality research and provide actionable insights for policymakers.
7. Facilitate workshops and capacity-building activities on gender equity and inclusion.

Qualifications and Skills:

• PhD in Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Economics, or related fields.
• Strong publication record in gender and international development research.
• Expertise in gender analysis frameworks and global frameworks like SDG 5, CEDAW, and the Beijing Platform for Action.
• Proven experience in policy engagement, capacity building, and partnership development.
• Familiarity with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and Gender Policy (2019).
