Makerere University Business School in collaboration with the Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN), cordially invites you to a Virtual Focus Group Discussion on the Effectiveness of Climate Change Adaptation Interventions in Uganda. This session has been scheduled for the 3rd of July 2024 from 1100Hrs – 1300Hrs (EAT). (Please Register HERE for attendance).

The study is supported by the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office, through the East Africa Research and Innovation Hub. It aims to identify priority sectors and interventions for adaptation investments and their effectiveness in building resilience among vulnerable communities and marginalized groups in the East African Region.

In the discussions, we aim to;

1. Identify contextualized opportunities for adaptation investments in Disaster risk reduction (DRR), Nature-based solutions, Climate-resilient infrastructure, and water security.

2. Gather empirical data on the effectiveness of adaptation interventions and strategies for accelerating adaptation action across sectors and interventions.
