Registration Opens for Cutting-Edge “Climate Adaptation Finance Professional” Training Program

The Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN), in collaboration with the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Makerere University Business School, IFAD, and the Royal Danish Embassy in Kampala, proudly announces the commencement of registrations for the “Climate Adaptation Finance Professional” course. Aimed at fortifying financial professionals in East Africa with critical expertise in climate adaptation finance, this program represents a pivotal initiative in addressing the region’s pressing challenges amidst climate change.

Designed to bridge existing knowledge gaps and elevate the role of financial institutions in nurturing climate-resilient development, the course features an innovative Blended Learning approach. Participants will engage in comprehensive e-learning modules complemented by interactive classroom sessions in Kampala, offering a nuanced exploration of climate finance frameworks, stakeholder integration strategies, and methodologies for assessing adaptation measures.

Targeting senior bankers, insurance executives, regulatory authorities, and consultants pivotal to enhancing adaptation strategies, the program promises profound insights into climate change impacts on financial sectors. Participants will gain invaluable skills essential for advancing their careers, culminating in a prestigious certification recognized globally.

Applications are open until August 15, 2024, with successful candidates embarking on a transformative journey from September through December. The program culminates with a hands-on training session in Kampala in early 2025, fostering collaborative learning and networking opportunities essential for driving sustainable change across East Africa’s financial landscape.
