Background

African institutions and researchers are part of several research partnerships. Some of these partnerships are based on short term specific projects while others are based on specific research ideas. The rapidly changing research environment and funding landscape has left little space for researchers to reflect on what models of partnerships have worked and how such models could be scaled -up in line with SDG Goal No. 17. This session aims to build on learnings from the STEPS Centre consortium to understand what has worked and what has not worked and what does a better research partnership looks like for Africa. The session will bring representatives from the six STEPS Global Consortium to share experiences.
