Background

Science-policy interface remains a major area of attention in Africa where investment in research remains relatively low due to the ‘perceived’’ weak connection between research, policy, and practice. There have been thoughts that strengthening innovation as well as knowledge translation and user sensitizing are pathways that can help strengthen research-policy and practice linkages.  This session seeks to understand how some of the emerging pathways for enhancing research impact are playing out and what needs to be done to scale these up.
