Caroline is a communication practitioner experienced in the production of information material tailored for target audiences. She holds a master’s degree in Development Communication from the University of Nairobi and a bachelor’s degree in Literature from Moi University. She is enrolled for Ph.D. in Communication and Media Studies at Kenyatta University.
In her practice as a communicator, she has worked with publications whose primary role is to link researchers to knowledge users by stepping down technical knowledge generated from research, into usable content. Her experience in delivering this mandate has brought to the realization that ineffective communication is a major factor undermining interventions uptake by the target populations. As such, her research interests lie in understanding the knowledge transmission frameworks in various research contexts, the effectiveness of communication strategies employed in knowledge dissemination, and how they enhance or impede research contribution to development.
