Dr. Prince Dacosta Aboagye is a research and development practitioner with verified experience in research and project management, focusing on climate adaptation and mitigation. He is a Research Fellow at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Nagoya University. Dr. Dacosta Aboagye earned his PhD from Hiroshima University, Japan, with a concentration in urban environmental science. Prince’s research interests include cities and climate change, climate adaptation and mitigation policy and planning, the impact evaluation of adaptation and mitigation efforts, slum upgrading, and sustainable urban futures. Dr. Dacosta Aboagye has worked as a project manager and team lead on various European Union-funded projects in Ghana, such as the Coconut Waste Project, the GrEEn Project, and the Power to the Fishers Project. He is a Japanese Government MEXT scholar, a Fellow of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), and a member of the International Platform on Adaptation Metrics (IPAM) as well as the European Geosciences Union (EGU).
