Chileshe is a Zambian national with over (12) years experience as a public policy planner for the Government of the Republic of Zambia. In the last (5) years his focus has been providing technical policy reviews and recommendations on development cooperation function in the energy sector. Further, he has provided technical policy impact assessments, and policy performance responses to the Executive and Legislative branches of Government among which have included policy drafting, budget analysis, joint economic cooperation and various regulatory reviews in creating a responsive energy sector for wider investments in line with other line government departments, regional and international protocols.
In addition, Chileshe undertook formulation and management of primary health care plans in rural Zambia for over four (4) years during which decentralized budget support and results-based financing were successfully initiated.
Chileshe holds an MBA degree from the University of Zambia and has gained interest in results-based financing modalities and localizing planning systems towards performance based and increased participation.
As a fellow on the National Determined Contribution Financing Fellowship Programme, Chileshe plans to extend his expertise towards results-based financing alongside categorization of data requirements to strengthen reporting and increased climate finance
