Mouhamadou Lamine NDIMBLANE is environmental economist and geomatician, PhD student of the West African Science Service Center on Climate change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) research programme in Economics of Climate Change from Senegal. He is graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FASEG) of the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar.

After two years of higher education at the university,  passed the entrance exam to the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technical Development (CEDT/G15) where he followed a two-year training course in Geomatics, with a specialisation in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing. At the same time, he continued further studies and obtained Bachelor’s degree in Economic Analysis and Policy in 2015 with honours and BTS in Geomatics the following (2016) with honours.

At the end of 2016, He was selected for the Interuniversity Postgraduate Programme in Economics, the PTCI which is a programme of the Conference of Institutions for Economic and Management Education and Research in Africa (CIEREA). Through this programme of excellence, he graduated with a Master of Advanced Study in Applied Economics in December 2018 with honours and as a specialisation Economics of Natural Resources and the Environment, following the Common Campus of Optional Courses (CCCO) in 2017 at the University Marien Ngouabi in Congo Brazzaville.

In September 2019, following a rigorous selection process, he joined the WASCAL Climate Change Economics research programme where he is pursuing my under the theme of Climate Risk Management and Financing Mechanisms for Farming Households in West African Countries.

In 2021, he was selected for the NDC Finance Fellowship Programme (NDC – FFP) organised by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the African Research Impact Network (ARIN) and funded by the International Development Research Institute (IDRC).
