Obed Kissi Asamoah: NDC Fellow
Obed Kissi Asamoah hold a Master of Science in Environmental Science, Policy and Management and a current PhD candidate at the Institute of Environment and Sanitation Studies at the University of Ghana. He has over 10 years’ experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods consulting for high level projects funded by international organizations such as ELRHA-Humanitarian Innovation Fund (UK), UNESCO Ghana, Plan International Ghana and STAR-Ghana Foundation. He is part of an Inter-Governmental Technical Data Advisory Committee working to streamline and improve data collection and collation as well as information management within the climate change and WASH sector. Mr. Asamoah has enormous experience in action research, development advocacy, organizational change and development, project management and stakeholder mapping. He has been a focal person with Green Climate Fund in South Korea since 2019 working towards the development and uptake of climate change research. As the Head of Programs of the Research and Grant Institute of Ghana, Mr. Asamoah has acted as a focal person for development partners, notably DFID on research, education and development issues in Ghana. His research interest is in the areas of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) Financing for SMEs, Circular Economy, Environmental Management and Eco-Disaster Risk Reduction
