Peter Wasswa is a Research Fellow at ARIN. He is a dynamic early career researcher specializing in Meteorology and Hydrology. With his back ground in climatic science and water resources (surface and sub-surface), he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Peter is deeply passionate about water resources, ecosystem functionality, and disaster risk reduction, human migration due to climate change, poverty eradication, gender inclusion, health, education and climate action.

Over the course of his career, Peter has made significant contributions to various projects. He has played a pivotal role in initiatives such as the Examining Community’s ability to cope with Food Insecurity due Climate Change, Community views on Water demands under a Changing Climate, A Community Perspective of Flood Occurrence and Weather Forecasting over Kampala City, Predicting Suitability of Upland rice for Adoption as Food Security and Poverty Alleviation Crop in Uganda and An assessment of Groundwater Available Potential for Migrants and Displaced People using GIS and Remote Sensing Techniques, West Nile-Uganda.

Peter’s exceptional aptitude for content development, coupled with his meticulous attention to detail, has resulted in the drafting and review of various publications, including blogs, information briefs, policy briefs, technical reports, and journal papers.
